- Mapped pegmatic granite measuring ~2.5km x2.0km,
hosted along a mafic volcanic-sedimentary contact
- Along trend of known pegmatites with documented LC
indicator minerals (beryl + tourmaline+ garnet)
- Historical drilling intersected significant widths of pegmatites (never sampled) with complex textures described
- No modern exploration; last explored >40 years ago
- Located in the east-central English River subprovince
- Area featured in the Ontario Geological Survey’s
Recommendations for Exploration (Kurucz, S.V.,
2023) for its “high potential to host undiscovered
rare-element-bearing pegmatites”
