Libra Lithium Corp. is focused on advancing and developing a portfolio of grassroots lithium exploration projects in Canada. Libra Lithium’s asset portfolio includes the 100%-owned Flanders North, Flanders South, Burton, Tennent, Lithium Hill, Bitchu, Kivinen and Twist lithium projects, which together cover ~60,000 ha of prospective ground in northwestern Ontario. The Libra Lithium team, including its Board, management, and advisors, comprises a mix of qualified executives, engineers and geoscientists, with extensive experience in mining and mineral exploration, capital markets, asset management, oil and gas, and First Nations engagement.

Koby Kushner, P.Eng., CFA

CEO & Director

Koby Kushner has spent most his career as a mining engineer and more recently, an equity research analyst. Prior to entering finance, Koby worked at several mines in Ontario and Manitoba, including Hemlo (Barrick Gold), Detour, Rice Lake, and others. During this time, Koby has seen projects advance through all stages of development, including exploration, production, and closure. He then moved into equity research at Red Cloud Securities, a mining-only investment bank, where he wrote on over 100 companies across various stages of development and a wide range of commodities, with a particular focus on lithium. His expertise on lithium has attracted interest from major media outlets and investors. He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, and is a CFA charterholder.

Ben Kuzmich, MSc., P.Geo

VP Exploration

Ben Kuzmich is a professional geologist with a proven track record of exploration success throughout Ontario, Manitoba, and the Yukon. His accomplishments include the delineation of the E-Zone at Barrick’s Hemlo mine, where he managed a $20M drill program, and where his reinterpretation of geologic models resulted in a 23% improvement in underground head grade for 2019. Outside of Hemlo, he lead the discovery of the Little Wing occurrence at Alamos’s Lynn Lake project as well as numerous REE pegmatite, precious, and base metal occurrences throughout the Superior Province. He completed his MSc thesis at Lakehead University on the highly endowed, critical mineral-rich Ring of Fire in northern Ontario, and his undergraduate thesis on S-type granitic intrusions. Ben has been involved in the exploration of the Georgia Lake Pegmatite field and has been contracted to produce numerous 3D geologic models of LCT pegmatite deposits.

Andrew Best

Manager, Indigenous Relations

Andrew has consulted for multinationals in the Forestry, Mining, Energy, Aerospace and Tourism industries for more than 30 years. He oversaw the communication campaign for the Council of Yukon First Nations land claims, created award winning communications for the BC Treaty Commission, and worked extensively with the Inuvialuit and Inuit in the Northwest Territory and Nunavut. His business development, marketing and communication work has helped organizations and governments bridge technical, geographical and cultural gaps to cultivate successful, long-term business relationships.

Sameer Uplenchwar

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Sameer Uplenchwar has over 20 years of financial and business development experience. Mr. Uplenchwar’s expertise is in financial structuring and modeling as well as investment banking. With significant depth of contacts within the Canadian and US energy sector Mr. Uplenchwar generates significant deal flow opportunities for investors. He is currently the cofounder of Helios Group of companies with investments in critical minerals, energy, IT infrastructure and agriculture. Previously, Mr. Uplenchwar served as Managing Director and Head of US Equity Research with GMP Capital LLC in Houston, Managing Director with Global Hunter Securities in Calgary/Houston. Before immigrating to Canada about a decade ago, Mr. Uplenchwar was Senior Energy Analyst supporting a $1.4B long/short hedge fund in New York for Surveyor Capital LLC, VP at Morgan Stanley and has worked at KPMG and Lasalle/ABN AMRO Bank.

Andrew Jedemann

Exploration Manager

Andrew Jedemann is an experienced geologist with a strong technical background who has been exploring for various commodities in northwestern Ontario over the past 7 years. Andrew has spent most of his career on several early- to advanced-stage Au and Ni-Cu-PGE projects around Northwestern Ontario, most notably of which included conceptualising, designing, implementation of >20,000m of drilling at the Barrick – Hemlo gold mine. Additionally, Andrew has worked in the prolific Ring of Fire where he assisted in generating new base and precious metal targets as well as directly overseeing field exploration work. Andrew has completed MSc from Lakehead University in partnership with the University of Tasmania (CODES) on characterizing an early-stage porphyry and epithermal prospect.

David Goodman, LLB, CFA

Chairman

Mr. Goodman left an early career as a litigator in 1994 to become a Partner, Vice President and Portfolio Manager at the investment management firm behind Dynamic Funds. He became President and Chief Executive Officer of Dynamic Funds in 2001 and of DundeeWealth, Dynamic’s public company parent, in 2007. Under Mr. Goodman’s leadership, the firm became one of Canada’s best performing and fastest growing investment managers, was recognized as Fund Company of the Year seven times at the Canadian Investment Awards while growing assets under management from $5 billion to approximately $50 billion, until its ultimate sale in 2011 to a Canadian bank.

In the past Mr. Goodman was a member of the boards of DundeeWealth, Repadre Capital Corporation, Dundee Corporation, SickKids Foundation and a trustee of the Dundee REIT. Mr. Goodman was previously the head of Global Asset Management for a major Canaidan bank and CEO of Dundee Corporation. In addition to his business interests, Mr. Goodman is the founder and CEO of Humour Me, an annual event whereby high-profile executives compete in stand-up comedy, and has raised ~$20 million to date for worthy causes.

Mark Goodman

Vice-Chairman

Mr. Goodman has over 25 years of public and mining company experience. He previously served as President of Dundee Corporation, a TSX-listed mining merchant bank, until December 2018. He has served on several public company boards and held executive positions at both public and private entities. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Orford Mining Corporation and Copper Road Resources Inc.

Christopher Brown

Director

Mr. Brown is a professional engineer with more than 25 years’ experience covering engineering, oil & gas, capital markets and Indigenous partnerships. His experience includes managing a portfolio of lithium brine assets in Canada, Nevada and Argentina. Previous experience also includes over a decade of international work as an energy analyst with BMO Capital Markets and Canaccord Genuity. Mr. Brown maintains strong relationships with a number of First Nations in Canada and has formed multiple economic development Indigenous partnerships, including the formation of a partnership with a Nation that became one of the largest environmental protection companies of tailings ponds in Alberta’s oil sands with over 100 employees. He brings a solid foundation of lithium technical expertise combined with a positive foundation for Indigenous engagement initiatives.
